Default Radar Jammer

Ok so say you are in a situation that you are trying to get out of, and you need to somehow get away, but you cant because your red dot is being chased!

Introducing the JAM-R Radar Jammer

Using this device will jam all other players radars for 7 seconds. If someones radar is jammed they will not see a single thing on their mini-map. No red dots, no blue dots, or your own little dot. When radar is jammed, all you see is the map background image on your mini map with your own spaceships dot in the dead center of it. Only downer is to have the power to effect all ships within 10 units of your ship, the radar jammer had to be given a LOT of power which is capable of jamming your own radar. So to jam others radars you are jamming your own as well.

Device specs:
Cost: 1mil Credits per Jammer Chip (or 1K uri)
Cost: 100mil credits per 10x usage Jammer Chip (or 10K uri)
Purpose: Jams ALL radars
Use Time: 7 Seconds
Cooldown: Jammer can only take the heat of one use per 5 minutes.
Maximum Effective Radius: 10 Astronomical Units

I kind of like this. Seems a really useful CPU.

However, I can think of at least 1 way it can be abused.

Imagine there are 4 of you hitting BK's or something and an enemy ship strolls along, EMP's, cloaks and uses the device. Behind him are 10 other enemy ships which cannot now be detected. You get my point?

Generally like it. I think 7 seconds might be a bit too long as this has a lot of potential as an offensive weapon.

I think it has potential.

What if it were (instead of a new CPU) an upgrade to the EMP, it causes radar loss and lock loss, as well as uncloaking abilities.

Rather than the usual cost of an EMP (500 uri) it is upgraded to a super emp for another 500 uri. The catch is that you must have the regular EMPs in order to upgrade them.

its not too high.... the price should be higher. Its already so overpowered with emp, I dont want nobs running around with them lol, would make DO worse. Aside from all this, it would make auto locker botters be in heaven lol.

Idee E.c.m.

I had a similar idea but it is for a design for the vengeance it would emit false radar images and if you had locked on to an enemy while using the skill his accuracy of weapons would be reduced and also interfear with any data shared with an outfit
