This game would be even more popular if it could be downloaded instead of playing throug browser. :)

awesome idea, fully agree. the option to download the game would probbaly free up some breathing room for the servers too.

However, when you download the game to your machines you have to be real careful of security, making sure there aren't any means for people to code their way into where they shouldn't be. The less on the client, the safer.

If you had a fast connection, the packet update speed would be the factor there. Could cause some really bad lag..

true, but other online games with downloadable game engines seem to do just fine. probably not gonna happen, but it would be cool.

Cool,, but not necessary
yess if you downloade it your limit goes down to a mounth and the safety of the users is something yyou need to watch for but a good firewall should take care of that plus the servers would go a lot faster

it is posibal but wont hapen just for the fack that u could go in and reright the bilines and hack the game for one reson it has it this way and that u have to buy uridum online and if it was dowloded u could rright the code for uridum and not have to buy it by hacking the code for it but it would free up there sever but would tare down things they have in place just to run the game smoth and to prevent cheating
it should also be that if you loose your connection you can still kil a BK and not lose your ship due to connection problems

it seems you cannot post names of other online games in these forums in an advertising manner without a sharp reprimand from a support staffer / admin / etc., so i will be coy about this:
a certain game wich requires you to play as a pirate onboard your own ship is newly available for download and free to play (or pay to upgrade), and is doing quite well. its downloadable "client", or whatever, makes for smooth and reliable gameplay - just as a few other popular titles do. the manner in wich you make money and progress in the game is all down in-house wherever the server is located, and will not allow you to cash in your currency / experience until it checks wth the server logs and is sure you actualy earned / bought these things. food for thought.
