What is with my rank points!

Alright, confusion is running through my mind. I have been shooting aliens, u know the usual, pop a few ship here and there, and my rank points go up. That's nice but what also goes up is the NEXT RANK POINTS. IM a basic colonel and im trying to become a colonel but everytime i get like a couple more thousand rank points, it jumps up, it was at 57k now its at 67k. :eek: SERIOUSLY! Its like its mocking me.. -.- idk maybe i just need to kill faster, which is sorta impossible cause im fast already, ask anyone in EIC East server, lolz. Any one can comment and try help me out on why im going up in rank points and so is the next rank points. O.o

This is confusing me too. It was set to 4k Rank Points at one point, and then it shot up to 67k. Its making me mad:(

rank points r messed up atm....lol in VRu it says 2 star is 5k points ;)

umm, I may be behind the times here, but what rank points? How do I find out how many I have? I was colonel but towards end of Dec., I dropped to basic colonel. I've seen them jump around before, but it never took this long to regain rank.
