Seriously - Chat banns can be made by Moderators --OR-- by "Auto".
"Auto" is a piece of program code that compares what you type against a list of "bad" words and phrases. You type, it's on the list, you get booted for the time required, you get back in when the bann "Auto" times out.

Whatever you really said was most likely on "Auto's" list, so you got the appropriate "coal" stuffed in your Christmas stocking...
