I have played the first gate and was unable to kill the 80 protigit. is there any tricks that one has in killing all of them?

what are the awsome rewards?

what is the extra energy for on the gate? and how does one use it?

I have seen mention of 2.000.000 Experience points, 100.000 honour, 10.000 x4 ammunition, and 10.000 uridium. This was supposedly for the alpha gate. I have not beaten it myself, just heard that through browsing the forums.

Since the gate isn't going anywhere anytime soon I'm going to wait until I have all 8 level 6 Iris drones and a fully equipped Goliath with double shields.

My idea for completing the gate is to have my "auto-buy" ammo chip set to re-buy x3 ammo. Use x1 ammo right through until the sibelonites, then switch to x3. I reckon you should also have a healthy amount of x4 ammo and SAB-50 stored up before going in. I'd probably also have my cargo bay over half full with promerium and start the gate with auto-refinement switched on, then just before the protegit wave begins whack all the promerium on lasers, engines and shields - hit em hard and quick with either x4 or x3 using the SAB to top up the shield inbetween bursts.

Can't wait to try this out, but it might be after christmas before I have my FE Goliath

If that is the reward, then im sorry Dark Orbit but thats terrible. A bonus mission was giving 10million exp for killing 333 kirstallins. That took me a few hours so i think if people are spending this much uri on building gates, they deserve a decent reward.

I finished alpha gates . Reward is : 10k uri, 10 k x4 ammo, 2 mil ep, 100 k honor.

id say its kind of good cause where else will you get 10k x4? and 100k will boost you up in rankings pretty fast but 2mil ep is only one i have a problem with

Don't forget all the exp. points, credits, etc. you get from actually killing all of the NPCs lol.

ya its all good, ep is a lil low but the 10k x4 is v cool, u cant get that much anywhere so i think its worth it, i dont think u can finish it atm because there is a prob with the prots, (they are faster then a full elite goli) i dont no when its going to be fixed or if it will be but when it is im going to do it then, i got gate A for 30k uri and plus u get all the ammo and stuff when u are trying to build the gates so its deffo worth it,

People have beaten Gate a even with the Prots on fullspeed. I know some did when the Prots had been slowed down for a VERY short time, but I also know ppl how DID succeed with the Prots having been speeded up again.

I still wonder how anyone is expected to beat Gate beta or gamma though, with double or triple the amount of Prots...

man get a vengie belvie it or not mate a vengie is the only way to get any kind of repiar time in the gates when the pros come after you it takes longer but in the end it is worth it even when you get your 30k x4 ;)

u get auto refine from premium or the chips from trade and x4 is only from gates and energy and special events o ya and the ep and cash from monsters would be tremendous and uri from killing would most likely make up for a lot of the ammo

you get 40k uri and 40k whites from beta

you get 60k uri from y and 60k uri.

It pays to rebuild it, and you get all the ammo and goodies doing so.

Auto refine is for premium members only. If you're not premium, you'll have to go to the lab to refine your ore by hand. Best bet is to refine your ore until your cargo bay is bursting to the seams with promerium, but that could take a long time if you have a goli sized bay. Try to hit only NPCs that have an equal number of the three basic ores or else your cargo bay will start filling with too much of one or two kinds of ore besides the promerium.

Its like that now mate but belive me month or two ago when materializer was 50 uri rewards were :

Alpha gates : 100 k honor, 10 k uri, 10 k x4, 2 mil ep.
beta gates: 200 k honor, 20 k uri, 20 k x4, 4 m ep
gamma gates : 300 k honor, 30 k uri, 30 k x4, 6 m ep

But now its all x2.
Only what i have to say more that it was better before than now. :(

The Alpha gate was ok, not too hard, the Beta gate, was in one word "Double" what the first one was. To answer the question about beating the progit's, u have to get your hp's up to about 300k, and then use the corner technique. Also u must be a master at using both of the configs, together.

Also what i recieved for the "b " gate was
8 mil exp
400k honor
40k 4x lazers

In the gates, when an alien is nearly dead and running away, it will run to the corners. So one technique is when an alien begins to run away, let it run away instead of chasing it to kill it. While it runs away, go ahead and start killing the next alien, and if it runs away, let it. Repeat as necessary. As you do this, you have less full-strength aliens attacking you at one time, giving you more time to stay alive. Then, when all of the aliens in the middle of the map have either been killed or are cornered, let your ship repair and shields regenerate, then head to the corners to easily finish off the cowardly aliens that previously ran away.

Yeah, but noticing how fast the Protegits are, chasing them would be a waste of time. You would be better off just letting them run first, repping, THEN killing them. Thats what I did:)
