View Full Version : well what if i told you that you didnt fix the parking bug yet?
hey mods! :p i was attacking a devo, and when i was to the bottom right of it JUST PERFECTLY the blue energy volts were hitting and the you survived the attack was appearing, but i was not being damaged!
Dont direct me to support, 1: i'm not old enough for my own email, 2: what is this forum for?
If you dont think this works then it is easy to recreate, just wait for the devo to become straight, no circling, and then when it turns horizontal wait about 5 seconds and go to wherever it is slightly or almost off the screen, then it will say "you survived the attack" but if you did it correctly then it will not follow you.
anyway, please test it, and also, if you already know about this then you should be fixing it.
This is not parking. Parking was a different bug used a while ago, where 1 player would run 2 ships. The aliens would target one of the ships while it was sitting at the portal, and the other ship would shoot.
This is a technique and in my opinion it is VITAL that it be kept in the game. For the noobs. Killing devos does nothing to help an elite player, they go with krists and such. In my opinion, this is a technique used to kill NPC's just like circling.
PS: I was standing still, it should have followed me
note: i was barley able to test this the first time, and couldnt this time so keep trying
just to clear this.
the parking bug was way different.
: one user gathered NPCs, got out of range for them and everyone could shoot the mobs
without being attacked.
the one who gathered the NPCs was still the target till the NPC died.
this is not possible anymore.
for the thing with the devolariums or any mobs on the x- up to x-4 :
this is not that easy to do and does not allways work.
trust me, i play this game long enough to know that it won't work every time ;)
the admins know about this since a very long time, and from what i know,
it will stay like it is on this ones.
As midrange stated the parking bug was completely different to what you explained.
What you have said is called Sweet Spotting, and is possible with Devo's, Sibs and sk's.
It is a glitch in the scripts but i have been informed that by sweet spotting your not breaking any game rules and what the npc's give isn't worth worrying about for the support.
Hmm, Well it's still abusing the bugs in the game, and i think bug abusion should be against the rules.
Instead of looking at it like a bug, try seeing it as that is their programmed behaviour for one very specific situation. Call it a poor pilot inside that specific Devolarium.
Thi is known to our coders and will probably be changed, at the moment they have some other things to work on. Thank you for the input from all of you, that shows that we have honest users that don´t like to take advantage of others in the game.
