Getting all GG parts

I've been playing for a while now and have been slowly (ever so slowly) obtaining parts for my various GG's. I'm a pretty active player so I have been working at it. So, just a general question for the masses, how long did it take you to get all the parts for your first GG?

Dude I hear u.. been playing since march and I ONLY have 15 of 34 parts for the 1st gate alpha. I even went through a large numbers of energy gate spins from the collecting events.

As far as cost or number of spins, since each spin is random, sometimes you get a lot of parts back to back, other times you can spin 100 times and not see a one. There are a couple really good posts about what to expect to pay before getting your gates finished, I just can't find them at the moment. Most of the advice I've seen has you accruing 1000 plus gate spins before even trying. I usually get 200-500 together - and even then you sometimes get a gate finished, sometimes not.

If you're frustrated now, wait until you have 1 or 2 parts left on any particular gate...it can get maddening. Then again, I've had multipliers up to 5 and when I used them I got 5 gate parts! Back when I constructed my first Gamma gate I had 4 pieces to go, happened to use a 4x multiplier and got all 4 remaining parts. :cool:

Keep plugging along...you'll get them. Once you open one up, you'll need lots of ammo, time and patience, especially on Gamma. :D

Many thanks for giving those few links to the OP that he may find useful.

If you relay only on the free GG spins you get from bonus boxes, yes that may take a long while to build a gate, but in the end the achievement will only be more tasteful ;)

I've been playing for a year almost two now and I only have 32/34 galaxy gate parts for my A gate! It's kind of a nuisance when it comes to building gates. It takes forever.

I certainly understand the desire to close posts however I was hoping to just collect some experiences from many players. If you feel this is inappropriate, please close as those that have answered have been very helpful.

When you spin your generator only use certain backgrounds. To the left of the page you will see map backgrounds. The green one with the planet and bright star works great for alpha then the red fire looking one and the yellow mustard one is good for all gates. Use these backgrounds and your multiplied and hopefully will go faster :)

Well i ended up wasting 37k uri for 3 parts on alpha and then i came to know the reward on alpha was 20k uri. :/

I think this might help you build more gates. It did help me. I've done 5 alpha 4 beta and 1 gamma gate in the year I've been on GB1 server. Just takes patience and lots and lots of boxing:)
