Beaten At Speed

ok this might sound oddly nooby but i cnt figure out how other goliaths are faster than me
on my speed config i have full speed engines (top level oviously) and got promerium put into em aswell (sepron cnt be used for speed)
so wot is it wots making other goliaths faster... im not talking walking speed some shoot of wen i engage them in combat
(drones cnt be used for speed... last time i checked anyways)
i assume it is somthing small i have completly forgot about but i dunno wot it is and i want to be able to hit my speed up a level to catch em

i have same problem they will just tell you its lag
but what i dont get is if your lagging your ship on the server should still be going at max speed
yet other goli still catch and overtake you

it cant be lag, i dont really get lag (well wen big events goin off i do) but like u said ur ship will still be moving on the server its somwot noticible in some people though because some move faster and i would settle for it being lag maybe but wen ur both shooting each other and they just fly off like a venge now thats wot i want to know about
i dont mind being outrun by a vengie but wen i belive ive maxed my top speed i dont like other goliaths can outrun me (fair enough if a speed design was made i could tollerate that)
any ideas?

It could be lag,also it could be other Goliaths taking off before you,the way you fly,the way you run away,cut off people in maps,ect.My advice is try to get a head start before anyone else and see how that goes...

even with a head start other goli can still catch up
im maxed out on speed and prom

btw a speed boost design would be good

I hate to say it but other than the things Anneliese mentioned it does come down to that same old lag. Every body is quick to say hacks or cheats but that im sure is very rare. A little Lag in ones person could make enough difference in their speed to make them seem not as fast. A little speed difference makes a BIG impact on enemy maps or hunting. Sometimes (very very rarely) i can tell it is in my favor. Enough, like you said for an equal ship to over take you. Or like somebody came out of no where and popped you before you have time to react. Some of your most top ships get lag too, Not seemingly as much, but they also spend money not only in game but in their connection and computer to help compensate some, which every little bit helps. Hope that made since, and helped somewhat. Adjust your game play as needed..

Closing to prevent spam. However before I do, keep in mind, the more you click etc the more commands going to the computer, if you click once on the mini map your ship moves at full speed. A lot of hunters use the mini map for flying as opposed to the main screen. Can make quite a difference.
