(1) You posted this in the wrong section - It belongs under US East (http://en.board.bigpoint.com/darkorbit/forumdisplay.php?f=953) if it is a specific issue with a specific Clan in US1 server.
(2) In general terms:
(a) The Game is played by many different Players with many different agendas, many different ideas of what the "Rulez" of the Game are, and many different interpretations of what the actual Game Rules are. Many insist that the writings of a thousand plus year old Chinese Guy are "Rulez". Many insist that "might makes right". Some subscribe to the "he who SCREAMS the loudest makes the "Rulez"." Etc., etc, etc.
(b) Bullies are a fact of life in the Game. Their motivations are almost always self-serving and typically disregard anything approaching "the common good": They want the "Rulez" to specifically favor their "Style of Play" and will put considerable effort into "enforcing" those "Rulez" they agree with. (Even if they bear no relationship to the Official Game Rules (http://en.board.bigpoint.com/darkorbit/showthread.php?t=1172).)
(c) Because the Game is combat based, Aggression is effectively a valued commodity in the Game. More aggressive Players (who often disregard the actual Game Rules) tend to become the strongest players and are in the position to use their strength to push other folks around.
That seems to be the situation you find yourself in: A much stronger Clan with suspect motives is "telling" you what to do with your Clan.
Options are few:
(1) There is no "fair". As Players we can't agree on what that means AND have no mechanism to enforce it. So regardless, "fair" has no bearing.
(2) If their issue is with a single Player, you may be able to negotiate an agreement. It does sound like they "Warred" you into kicking your Co-Leader. Maybe his behavior actually warranted that (In THEIR Opinion).
(3) If the issues is a conflict of Play Styles, you might be able to negotiate a solution. (Though most Top 10 Clans tend to dictate terms, not negotiate agreements).
(4) Hopefully, you can find out the real reason for the conflict. It is usually over some perceived slight or offense like "Stealing BK's", Shooting on a Member of their Clan, etc, etc, etc. You might be able to negotiate a suitable way to "make it right" so both sides can get on with enjoying the Game. Maybe not... (Like I said, top 10 Clans tend to be pretty rigid in their ways...)
The trend here is pretty obvious - Try Diplomacy (just like real countries and business do in real life). If that does not work, Minimize Contact (Fly at different times, Hunt in different Maps, etc.). If your Clan is strong enough, consider standing your ground. REALIZE that top Clans tend to bond with each other (Birds of a feather flock together); so this could result in being Warred on by multiple, very strong Clans.
I know, sounds not so good. The problem is people and what they bring to the Game. If everyone followed only the Official Rules of the Game, things would be a lot easier. Unfortunately, some people cheat (12,000 botter accounts deleted), some people lie ("I was hacked" by giving away my password), some people exempt themselves from the Rules, some people have their own special "Rulez", some people are just plain mean; ALL of these types play the Game and bring those attitudes, habits, behaviors and mistaken beliefs to the Game... Sorry... And, seriously, good luck!
