Is CAPTUR~3.EXE-01BC65D6.pf a necesary windows file to play DO?
It uses more memory than Firefox and was hoping I could close it while playing to free up some memory.

no that does not sound like a windows file. you could close it and see if your system becomes unsteady. if it does, simply restart your pc and your be fine. it sounds like a part of a picture or image capture program.

Capture Express is a very good, free screen capture utility for Windows.
Besides capturing basic Screens, Windows and rectangular areas, Capture Express allows you to capture items in a variety of other useful shapes. Some shapes available include rounded rectangles, circles, ellipses, diamonds, triangles, stars and other user defined shapes such as an octagon or house figure shape.
You can place borders around shapes and choose a masking colour for the exterior of the shape. Screen captures can be printed or saved in a variety of file formats, including BMP, GIF and JPG.
Unlike other capture programs that don't allow you to move the "grabber" once you start the capture, Capture Express allows you to toggle between a stretch mode and a move mode by right clicking on the mouse. So if you didn't get the alignment correct on the first capture, just click on the right mouse button and move the grabber to the correct alignment. Capture Express is advertiser supported software and therefore free to use.

Not 100% shore this is it but it looks like it.

Best run a few scans of it with your anti-virius program. You can also copy and paste the name of the program into google and click the link to McAfee about it. That is where i found the quote.

Thanks guys , it may well be a program used by my WinTV program. I'll try closing it as suggested and see what happens , lol.
I'll report back with an edit.

Edit:Closed CAPTUR~3.EXE-01BC65D6.pf, did a CCleaner and reset TCP/IP stack and repaired Winsock. Ran DO with no ill effects but no improvement on my FPS either so will go back to old settings.
thanks anyway

This may be closed, ty
