Hello All.

My name is URAGEEK (Not in RL). I am a not quite 40, and in general, a regular guy. I am not an 'IT' or computer guy as some say come to believe. If I have a problem with my computer, I buy a new one because I can't fix anyting.


I am of native from New Jersey, however I am now a resident of south Florida near Miami. I am a Pittsburgh Steelers fan as some of you may have deduced by the picture. I am not the girl in the picture but I am also a fan of hers. (She is my virtual girlfriend as long as we can keep it between us.)

Since moving to south Florida, and due to my involvement in sports, I was on the field and part of haftime entertainment at a Miami Dolphins playoff game for the Punt, Pass and Kick program several years ago. I've got to say it was cool to meet dozens of players and be on the field during a nighttime game in front of 80,000 people instead of being in the stands with them.


I play Dark Orbit exclusively and no other game since quitting Command & Conquer. This was the first game I started using a chat. So my social skills still need work. I do not run chat in game while hunting, nor will you find me sitting a port yacking it up unless 'The Spirits' have possessed me late at night. I'm rarely on TS as I am not involved in 'Dark Orbit Politics'. People with more time can run for office and be popular with the masses. I let my gameplay speak for me. However, since becoming more chatty in the game, I have enjoyed getting to know the various people in the game. It is good to meet others that enjoy this type of entertainment.

I started out as a free player like most. I was killed by my own company early on during some civil wars. It was then I took a bigger interest in getting better in the game.

I joined my first clan [ECA] at 20m ep. Up till then I did it all myself. Once I joined [ECA], the clan quickly grew and everyone worked together. Those were good days.

Unfortunately, there were no role models, so I had to continue to learn on my own and pass on what I learned. Generally, I died as a way of learning as I did not ask a lot of questions. The Dark Orbit Universe was a cold and bitter place.

I take great pleasure it learning something new about the game everyday. More so, I like putting that knowledge into practice and passing it on to the closest people to me in the game. This is what I do still to this day. Those that know me will tell you I am an unselfish and generous players. Those of you that don't know me get to see the other side of me.

Most have never heard of me as I am naturally shy and some might say simple in my ways. I keep to myself mostly and kill aliens. I am a member of ONE. clan with my wife Spicedeath(2DAY2). We also play around with a second account each in the DAY family of clans. Mr Urageek with his humble ways has been a good teacher to us all of how to kill and survive. His shy ways won't allow him to say it but I believe he is the best player in the game currently. I will go ahead and leave my stats in this post though they are not that great, I am proud of my achievements. Unlike Mr. Geek I keep my chat open most times, but if I don't answer it is because I am away at banned camp. I seem to have an affinity for that place. I am working hard not to go back, but you never know. Thanks to all that have made this past time so entertaining.

My computer was so slow and I was so bad compared to the people around me, I would be embarrassed to say what my name was in C&C.
Though it is a great game, I'm not going back. Too much time spent here.

Although I do believe my fighting style is all my own, I built it using what I learned from a short list of maybe 5 or 6 players. Urageek is one of those players that helped me see the game a little differently and gave me some insight into elements that I might not have otherwise picked up.

Also I must say that my 'game smack' was good to begin with, but Urageek has a flair that makes one (or ONE.) realize that you must raise it to a higher art form.

Thank you Hellkite. I'm glad to see you have not given up... again. When we first spoke about the issue in ECA with WolfSpirit, I thought you were very young but highly intelligent and had a good grasp on reality. It was nice to have those conversations. I am glad to say and see that you have a talent for writing the truth and things that people can relate to in every post.

I am on practically everyday but my job keeps me busy this time of year so my play time is limited. Also, the URAGEEK you are used to loitered in the lowers killing NPCs and a stray enemy. Now I go to uppers and BMs since I have hungry clan mates to feed. My horizons are much further away than they used to be.

Sorry i haven't dropped in to say hi yet. I've watched on the sidelines many a time as you saved my but when i was a noob. Now i've grown up and competing with the Fes in the maps. I've learned many things while hunting but i think i've learned the most from your clan and the way they hunt. As you may not be aware i have Several freinds in the ONE. clan who i have fought alongside with and against when they where MMO and Vru. If your ever interested in hunting with just 2 of us just give me a call i would be honored too :)

We all appreciate your compliment. We realize that we have something special in the way we hunt and fight. Our members commitment is our greatest asset.

As everyone is aware, the idea of a clan is to be in a group and leave some individuality behind. ONE. is bigger than myself so I am rarely alone. In the case that I am, it is because I am hunting and it might be best that no one be around... It's dangerous when people are hunting for me!

I chose this name because most online gamers are geeks and you really have to be to play a game like this. Geeks can be quirky people that are generally quite smart but lack some social skills. K&Q was an EIC clan with VRU players. Their motives were unclear and their loyalty was divided. It was easier to push the players out of EIC and make them disband the clan then it was to watch them shoot EIC and constantly stir up trouble. I typically do not get involved in noob clan wars, but when someone decides they want to talk smack, such as your leader did... I do something about it. It was then we had several clans declare war on K&Q so the problematic people would go away and the innocent people, such as yourself, have a fair shake in a good clan. I hope that answers your question.

I have paid my dues in this game, if there is such a thing. So I can be whatever I want to be. I am not regularly in chat conversing but being aloof does not mean I am stuck up. I do not get involved in company power struggles. I do not self-endorse myself to say how great I am. I do not outright bash any player that does not initiate smack with me first. I simply play the game and speak when spoken to. I assure you that most things that people think of me or say about me are creatively made up in their vivid imaginations thanks to varying perceptions. I don't let anything anyone says bother me. Well I have been in ONE. now 1 1/2 months. And I have done nothing but learn from URAGEEK and the ONE. clan since I switched here. I have nothing but respect for URAGEEK and his know how and adaptability to new things this game has to offer. URAGEEK is one of those people most either hate or like. I chose to like and learn from him. The haters well... they learn the hard way lol. I chose to join URAGEEK and ONE. to better my game and learn new things from them. Its a small clan but very organized and well respected due to fact of how ONE. clans gameplay is. I have many more poppings then any of the clan but I used to be MMO and did Bmaps alot. Well this game is about numbers and well its numbers that killed me. Hence I dont Bmap that much anymore due to better my stats. Well I have done just that and much more than I expected. Probably the best defenders of uppers I have seen on any server. One clan got me 3 times last week as I made my escape from 2-7. Shame that you got help on the last occassion Urageek as I hung around for the 1v1 rather than took my leave and was just about to add 1 to your deaths. I think thats the negitiveness you get in the way you hunt. Your opponents feel cheated out of a good 1v1. Your kills are pretty impressive and death ratios incredible.

We too have lone hunters (greedy I suppose), and that's ok. When we hunt as a group, we want everyone together though. That is the purpose of a clan- or at least it is in my opinion.

I had 122 deaths when I left ECA- That was 10/31/08. So there is truth in what you say. Many of those deaths were due to growing up,the best of the best killing me, some were from an alien or two and some were even EIC. Nevertheless, deaths happen. All of us in [ONE.] try to minimize someone's opportunity to 'posterize' us.

Too many people spend WAY too much time playing games. They get so involved in it that they have dreams at night or they talk about it at work or school the next day. That is a little obessive or 'geekish' to me and I never wanted to be that guy (resembling Comic Book Guy in The Simpsons). Where this is just my 2nd online game I really started to play, how better to make an impression on someone you kill by taunting them?

URAGEEK was not the first name I chose but the third. Others were self-depricating, but that didn't appeal to me.

Anyhow, the name still works,and most see it as the joke I intended. we need geeks to fix our computers, make medicines, and design better games to waste our time on.

I left ECA with 120 deaths on 10/31/08. Since then I still have less than 100 and 3 times the kills, however; I am rarely alone anymore. That is what it means to be in a clan.

I used to be in my own maps, kill aliens and defend the map if invaded. I would pick off a wounded one here and there. I did not have TS and I did not talk in chat, so my first 6000 klls were alone or with the help of a few- nothing was ever planned.

Now, since having a clan of my own, I do hunt in a group from time to time. I can't tell you how many or when, but I am capable of killing 50 to 200 in a day without dieing.

I do cloak most of the time and I do not hunt in Battle Maps. If you see me there... PRAY that there is more than just you! I won't be alone!

stats don't make you better than another player its just a representation of what a person has done. the reason why urageeks stats are more impressive than the #1 player is because of his kill to death ratio, his 187 deaths to his 89458 player hit points destroyed is very impressive(i'm sure both numbers are larger now) but in all honesty urageek you are a lil bit obsessed with how much better you are than other ppl. What you don't know, based on your comments above, is that more than a third of my kills are from solo hunting... Maybe close to half even. I don't raid x1 and kill a dozen noobs and die. I hunt big game and live.

The next thing you should know is my hunting parties are only 2 to 6 people at any given time. Do we have more from time to time, sure. But we have never had 10 to 15 of our members in one place.

'The Holy Grail': Yeah. It is. Why? Because people's imagination run wild in this game. Name the people you think have better stats, I would make a wager that they have died 3x more than me or even 10x more. Getting kills is important but not dieing is more important to me. My kill ratio is unmatched. Ever been dunked on in a basket ball game? NOt me. I don't like getting posterized.

And yes SMILES. I am a little obsessed. Oh well.

As much as I'd like to tell you, I can't. The new system was implemented after I had half my kills. The old system only told you the number of ships, not the type. I can only estimate and it would not be accurate.

I don't pretend to be the premier goliath killer because I don't hunt in battle maps to score those kills. I can however kill 100 goliaths in a regular day. That's pulling every trick out of the book whether people like them or not. New or old, elite or noob... A kill's a kill.

Like URAGEEK says, it isnt hard to get 100 goli kills a day its getting them without dying. 1/4 and I get 100 or more goli kills a piece a day without getting popped so it can be done, you just have to know how to use what you got.

First, thanks for posting.

My advice on not dieing... be aware of your surroundings and don't bite off more than you can chew.

I do spend money on the game but I am quite frugal. I know when and on what. I don't waste money on the game.

As far as what I do... I protect people's property by preventing damage to it. That's the best I can tell you with out going in to a sales pitch.

Having natural talent is not something you can teach. Luckily, Eri and Jet already have it. I teach someone how to focus their talent and use it to the best of their ability. I also get people to have a better understanding the game and get to know their enemy's habits. In time, more than 2 will be in the top 10.

Hello BlackRose. Without knowing more about you and your application request I can only assume that you did not meet our immediate requirements.

Here's a thought or two:

You are not LVL 17 or higher.
You did not type a message in your application.If you are not LVL 17, you may apply to [TOO.] Training Other ONE.s
In the training clan, there are no taxes and you have full access to our TS and ONE. members. I hope this is helpful.

ONE. only has 24 in the clan to start with. We do not have a huge chain or training clans at our disposal. We can only get a group as large as 10 or so at one time. 3 to 5 is our happy place to hunt with. That's all we need. More than that is messy. Sometimes we have some tag-a-longs, but we don't invite them- they follow and enjoy the ride.

I used 2 b in [ONE.] but I left to re-train in The Wolfpack (the two clans are best friends) as most of the other wolves moved there. As I said i eft to re-train but in the short time I was there I loved it especially being in the most successful clan in the server and probably the whole game.
1 problem.
They did not have any random money for FE bids as I thought they would have spare. I knew it was the requirements to be FE and a certain level but they somehow let me in and i enjoyed it alot, what with the hunting we did as everything. I then moved to [OOO] and saw that the wolves had left [ONE.] ans since then have kept their heads up and improved even more with about 3-4 players in the top 20 users which amazed me and now BAMABUM is 1 rank from General and I really respect that clan and the Wolves.

I never really thought of having one... I wouldn't know what to have in it as most of my thoughts are sound cues not pictures--Meaning- I relate to songs or music when I hunt not pictures.

I love music aswell and I always have music channels on while playing or a song in my head while playing.

UraGeek i just wanted to inform you that 2 members from your clan shot me down while in 1-2...It was during spaceball sometime and i was there...i accidently stole their cargo and got a mislock and stopped shooting them after 1 shot of green (~3k dmg) and they popped me without stopping...Even if i took the cargo on purpose is that a reason to shoot eic? And i stopped shooting them after 1 shot!!! I even asked them on chat and they said they knew it was a mislock but to never steal cargo again...i even told them it was a accident but they wouldnt listen...it was from a mmo nostromo with 3 flax...they were Good**Company[ONE.] and Bad**Company[ONE.] ...Just to let you know there was also a VRU vengeance in 1-2 and i started shooting at it and they almost popped me...when i stopped shooting the vengi they stopped...They didnt want me to pop a VRU? My main concern though is me ACCIDENTLY taking 1 cargo in 1-2 and them popping me...

I cloaked up to go to lowers and was gonna collect uri so i could get my first pilot point (finally haha) so anyway i used the wormhole in 4-5, and long behold, it put me right in the middle of a ONE stack in 3-8. I popped before i had the chance to scratch ma head XD. idc that i popped thats just funny.

hello urageek :) ive tried to speak with you in game a few times and you robably dont remember me.. WAY BACK i was in ect with my brother my acc name was DeathFromAbove and i switched it to URANERD for a short period of time. i quit playing for some time but you were always one of my favorite players especially since you helped my little noobie vengi kill devos xD i was very sad when i started playing DO again and saw that ECA had fallen apart and members kinda went their own ways. i actually spoke with RACER-X the other day too. i loved those old days in ect and my short stay in eca before i quit playing. but its good to see you in the game and i cant believe youve only been popped 187 times -.- thats insane :eek:
