Just a question. Everything I have read in the forums says that if you suspect a player of wrong doing whether it be cheating, spamming chat, etc; you need to email support with their username. Now, we all know that nothing can be done when we ask questions about ourselves without our user ID. So, the question:
Is support able to find users by name only and check on reported infractions?
Thanks,
LW

yes they can, i reported a player name, even thought he changed it, they had tracked him. but i guess will take them way more time to do that, so why make there job more hard! when u can simplify it, and like so, they can help you faster

It's impossible for you to find out someone's user ID unless they post it in the forum. If I see a cheater cloaked using a bot to pick up bonus boxes, and I shoot him down to find out who he is, all I get is his name in the log. I can't find his user ID. So in most cases, a name is the best you can go on.

Hello -LiteWolve-,
If you are in chat and see a user abusing his/her chat privileges, go into your Global Chat tab and ask for a moderator, they will help you if a moderator is on. If that does not work, get a screen cap or a video of chat and send it to support. If you suspect someone of cheating, please email that to support as well with a User name. If they have shot you down or you have shot them down, the information contained in your logs will help support as well. In either situation it is always best to include your User ID, server, date and time and any other valuable information. Remember that the information contained in the emails are strictly confidential as well.
