I was about to say aesir but then I saw your resources. You're going to need to seriously increase your amount of tylium and cubits if you want to survive as a liner. You have to take into account the price of upgrading weapons to a decent level along with ammo costs. Wait a little longer and get the aesir along with some upgraded gear.

Both ships are great. Their strong in their areas, but often times the Gungnir is a better ship.
Awaits are excellent kiting missiles ships and can brawl against enemies with an avoidance build. The Gungnir is tougher ad more versatile. Like what ELLFOREVER said, don't rush into a line yet. I bought the jotunn and Amir but both ships are terribly hard to run especially with the expensive gears. For lines careers, I used the Vanir instead because I can participate in fleet battles with long range missiles and it's ability to jump far. I stayed in my adv. maul instead. In fact, I found out that playing in an escort is equally effective at tackling most classes. Their also pretty cheap to repair. |

If you buy a gungnir so early on then you will also have to take into account the 8.2 tylium per second boost cost. In a short 5 minute battle you will have used 2,460 tylium just from boosting for a short period of time. If you can't get enough scrap to sell then you won't be able to cover the costs of ammo used and so you will start to lose more and more resources. Basically save your money until you know you can cover all the costs.
Also in reply to winscar, the advanced aesir is considered to be a better ship than the gungnir as it has the same amount of guns, hull slots and computer slots but with 2 more engine slots so it is just as versatile as the multi role. The gungnir only becomes better once advanced but this takes 60k merits which the OP may be far from getting anytime soon.

I must use 100k a day on boosting and make about 500k a day after expenses maybe more but thats just from doing dailys. Now the upgrades are expensive... Id go for the gungnir..go big or go home i mean it is massive its twice as long as a jot 1and a half times the size of an aesir. This is as long as a colonial op. These ships have a little bit more hp then the aesir and can get a 9th gun They are probally the best fleet battle ship |

This really depends a lot on your game play style and personal preference.
The Aesir is an interceptor, its strength lies in its engine capabilities. You get the power of a line with the greatest amount of maneuverability, versatility, and speed, dependent, of course, on the systems you choose. The Gungnir is the best general purpose line. Its systems more "well rounded". Plus, as a multirole vessel, you will gain an 9th gun if you go advanced. In any case, you need to gain more resources before buying either line. Your cubits are going to need to go toward upgrading systems in addition to buying the actual ship. Without your systems upgraded a few levels, you might end up being better off not flying it into combat.
