Active since 7th February 2011, the Red Aces wing has been setup alongside realistic Battlestar Galactica ranking and structure in order to preserve the essence of the series within the game itself (no Admiral ranks here, there is only 1 “old man”).

Based on the Battlestar Galactica on the EU Tauron Server, we are primarily a Strike Wing. We do have line and escort craft but strike tactics is our forte. We use aggressive tactics so if sitting on a mine in a liner is what you're after then were probably not for you.

It is our intention to openly recruit new members and give them assistance wherever needed to advance through the game and creating new friendships and fun environments along the way.

All that will be asked of new and future recruits are the following:

Be available for a short, briefing on TeamSpeak.
This is just to ensure that you understand our structure and ethos, and to give you some starting tips to maximise your enjoyment.

Be over 16.
This is due to the nature of language and subjects prevalent on our Teamspeak. Also be aware that our forum host has imposed a 13+ age limit on account holders

Have a good understanding of the English Language.
We have several different nationalities in the wing, but English is the primary language.

Act like an officer of the Colonial Fleet and respect all players in the game.
We believe in playing to the spirit of the game, and not exploiting any weaknesses there are in the setup.

Do not bring the Red Aces into disrepute.
'Nuff said!

Many of us have been flying together for some time now and are as such an online family. New recruits are expected to give a good account of themselves on wing actions in their first week with us. Attitude and attendance will be scrutinized closley during that time. You want in… you have to earn your spurs.

Any of the Captains, Major, or Command Staff (named above) will be able to give you the introduction. There is normally someone available from 18:00pm UK time. There may also be someone available during the day.

Some of you have applied to join the wing in game. This is great, but you must fulfill the basics (Join our forums and get in Teamspeak as per top post of this thread) to be accepted.

We'll happily take any pilot of any level that wishes to fly with a tight nit group and bring the pain to the cylons.

If you're only interested in mining for resources, we're probably not for you.

A little intro from myself, as the Wing's resident "oldie"

I joined the Aces in February 2011, and it's been an amazing ride so far, from our humble beginnings of 10 guys in non-advanced Viper MkII's we now are one of the most effective Strike Wings on Tauron. But that doesn't mean that you can't fly what you want, if you've got an escort or liner then that's great - we believe in using the right ship for the job, it just happens that most of the time that's a Viper

Regardless of your experience we want you, we don't care if you're a new player or a hardened veteran, level 1 or 100, makes no odds to us. We're a community that looks out for eachother so if you've got questions or need help there'll always be someone to help.

I've been in the Red Aces for a couple of months now and can say it's absolutly awesome. On Ops nights we blaze through the systems as a pack and own them.

The biggest problem we have, is when we jump in, the toasters jump out!!
