Faction Switch Status [UPDATED 25 June]

Hey pilots,

We will be using this post to keep you informed about the current status of the Faction Switch system on all servers.

Please check the Update - 27 April 2011 Release Notes for full details of the Faction Switch system.

Due to the important nature of faction balance, we will be carefully monitoring the effects of the Faction Switch system and activating it in a series of stages.

When the system is activated on a server, there will be an automated limit on the number of switches allowed, based on the population of the server and the balance between the factions. This does mean that at times faction switching may not be available, even if it has been enabled for a server.

We appreciate that some of you are eager to make use of the system, but we would rather take things slowly and step by step, and take the time to evaluate the impact of the system on each server.

We thank you for your patience and understanding.


IMPORTANT: Please be aware that faction switching will only be enabled in one direction at a time on any given server. All faction switches should be regarded as being permanent - you should not expect to be able to switch back to your original faction.
