Daumen runter Cost of ships

It is funny that the concept of this game rocks and yet like ALL games they make it So hard and Annoying to level or get out of a basic ship. I have been grinding thru levels at a snales pace scanning and trying to find AI to get XP and supplys after 7 levels i hav figuired that they don't want to play so they set the goal so high it would take you a year to get anywhere . when a ship cost 600,000 is pretty Lame when you have to buys AMMO<REPAIR<UPGRADES you end up makeing about 8 k a day do the MATH .I will not waste what time i have on this game to end up with crapo ship that gets OWNED by a AI ship . good luck glad this was free so i don't feel like i was Ripped off < but for you who have paid money ,, does the word Sucker mean anything to you..it should.. they have to fix or even rewrite a lot of aspect of this game

When I had lvl 21 (Now I have 25), I already had:

Adv. Raider - cylon interceptor
Wraith - cylon assault escort
Adv. Banshee - cylon interceptor escort
Adv. Jormung - cylon assault liner

I managed to grind 2.000.000 for the liner in 3 days of asteroid/npc grinding with my... ADV. RAIDER.

So no, it's not hard to get money in this game.
And no, I didn't pay any real $$$ for this.

1. If you're ship is getting owned by AI, you're doing it all wrong, either bad set-up, or you haven't gotten used to fighting.

2. One day in my Raider, I can walk out of the game (in five hours) with 54K Tylium. In my Heavy Raider, I can spend five hours, and walk away with 73K in Tylium (not including Cubits)

3. When you're talking time, jo blow who paid for the cubits, actually got more tylium /cubits per hour than the typical player.

4. Ammo<Repair<Upgrades, depends on what you're upgrading. Repairs are cheap. Why? I've never had to buy Titanium, ever. To repair 80% of haul damage, will only cost 113 Titanium. Typical Astroid mining for Titanium, will be 200 and above. Upgrades, if you know what you're doing, as a Raider Pilot, you can end a five hour day playing with54K Tylium, and 73K Tylium with a Heavy Raider... If you have a ship that's dedicated to mining even, (i've experimented) you can end a five hour term with 117K with a Heavy Raider fully outfitted for mining.

So in essence, you haven't quite figured out the game quite yet.

I'm sorry but you aren't right at all.
You can't be the giant that stomps on the ants on day 2 in any game I know

the price is quite fair, once I began to realize that I needed 600K for a semi-decent ship I went for it, and the secret is NOT to get involved in big fights, just stay behind the scenes and mine, mine, mine.

In less than 18hrs play I had enough money just to realize that... I needed LVL10 to buy it!

I was on LVL9 so I've figured out that EXP comes very quickly doing missions...

So the advice is: mine and do missions and save tylium to buy big ships ASAP, if you instead want to get into dog fights... mine and do missions and spend it on upgrades

...Or so I've perceived

NoMorMrNiceguy, the guys are right. In about one week of cca 6hours a day I was on lvl 16 with most modules on my advanced Viper on about lvl 6, 120 000 thilium and 200 000 titanium in locker, saved for my first line on lvl 20. Just for the record, I am no ace pilot, just little better than grey average

It really is about PvE and mining at the begining, not the big battles where you get mostly quickly killed with no gain on low lvl. For me, it really is only about combat, as I do mining only as a part of daily assignment, so the profit can be way higher than that in my case. Only possibility that commes on my mind is, that you use missiles instead of my favourite cannons. But even so, IMHO you should be able to make way more than 8k per 5 hours of play. Hell, I almost make 8k cubits per 5 hours

Swarz45, agreed to all you wrote but the second sentence . If you play most of the day, in this game you can be that big boss quite fast. I guess that to get on lvl 10 is possible on day one and lvl 20 day 3 if you pay for cubits only a little. If you pay a lot, check out section of boosts in fleet stores (or whatever it is called for cylons)...

... That's it? You must be really bad :P
I usually walk out with around 90-120k depending on the npc spawns and the asteroid's with decent materials.

OP, I agree with you completely. IMO I think they need to add some ships in between, that or lower the prices for the next level of ship, Or add missions that give you a nice income base, Scanning rocks and killing AI is a lame idea, it takes no thought, its boring. I too am glad I never put any money into this game.

it's really not that hard. Get into a wing and go farm platforms and lines in a threat 20 system. I can get about 2-300k a day easily by doing that, more if I really wasn't half-assing it.

(not that I am half *moderated* it, only by the standards of what I usually do in games which is farm heavily for hours straight. here farming tends to be pretty relaxing.)

If you want an uber ship quickly, stick with your strike. You can level up the systems relatively quickly and can pretty much own all but the highest level line ships.

As far as the game being too hard to level up? You may not be doing it right. This game is actually too simple to level up. If you've noticed, everybody and their dog has line ships.

Also - I average about 15,000 cubits a day between fighting, doing dailies and busting blue rocks. It doesn't take all that long to do this.

Gotta agree with everyone else.
The levels are a grind, but they aren`t too bad. I did get the special offer but haven`t bought any more cubits since as i soon found out how quick you can get tylium etc. I`m currently sitting on about 900k tyl and 45k cubits, that despite the fact that i wasted tylium on incorrect weapon purchases, upgraded my viper and am only level 16.
Three things for ya to do from here. 1). Keep on grinding and suck it up. 2). Join a wing, you can team up with a liner and make yourself useful by shooting down missles. If you`re lucky you can farm Plats or mines etc and earn a crapload. 3). Quit.
Bear in mind this is a free to play game. Having access to the big liners so easily and early would defeat the object of them.
