As a pilot you can learn various skills to improve your flying, these skills affect a variety of areas. Within each skill you can also learn secondary skills; each skill costs experience points. To access the secondary skills, you need to learn the primary skill first.
The XP you have is well tracked, so to give you an example: You have 500 XP and a skill costs 500 XP; you can learn this skill. After the training time is expired, you have another skill that costs 500 XP – you cannot learn this skill. To do this you would 1000 XP total: 500 for the first skill, 500 for the second. The higher the skill level, the higher the XP cost and the higher the training time. We want you to take time in learning and develop your character slowly. This will balance the game and it will help to keep your interest J So to access the skill you need to go to the Player Info pages, found at the top right hand corner of your screen: ![]() Then select the skill tab, and you will access this screen: ![]() If you click on a skill, in the larger red box, it will bring up the description, as shown in the green box. This will show the cost and training time also; you can only learn one skill at a time. If you wish to learn that skill, just click learn, and it will start the training automatically for you.

I figured I'd post this just as something helpful to new players since I haven't seen it elsewhere. If you were wondering how many skill points is required for each skill level, and how many more skill points are needed at one level compared to another, this will tell you what you need to know.
lv1 500 +1500 lv2 2000 +3500 lv3 4500 +3500 lv4 8000 +3500 lv5 12500 +4500 lv6 18000 +6500 lv7 24500 +7500 lv8 32000 +8500 lv9 40,500 +9500 lv10 50,000 * total skill points to raise a single skill to level 10 = 192,500 So, taking 1 rank in a skill is dirt cheap and takes 15 minutes to train so if you have any use at all for something, no matter how small, you probably haven't given up much for bumping that skill up to level 1. Even at level 2, while the required skill points quadruple, 1500 more skill points is less than the required 3500 points between the next few levels. After you get to 5th level, skill costs become progressively more expensive, so it may be best to take all the skill you consider important to your build, and get the all up to rank 5. Once that's done, start focusing on the skills you want to push to rank 10. Anyway, I figured I'd post this in case it was helpful to anyone.
