If you've done all your "missions" then you need to start playing the game. You need to go to your "rec room" and interact with the characters there. You will receive what are referred to as dailies or mini missions and then you need to start completing them. When you are in the game press the "I" key on your keyboard and click on the "assignment" tab. This will provide you with a list of the assignments you have been given and what systems they need to be completed in. Once you have completed all of your missions you need to return to your "rec room" and meet with the same characters to "turn in your dailies." You will receive cubits and tylium as well as merits for completing certain missions. You will also be able to get more missions after the original 24 hour time frame is up.

I hope this answer helps! Good luck.

The final mission you are given is "independent duty" or something like that. You collect the same 10 assignments and compete them over and over again on Independent Duty. Not far off from what you say, kill randon NPC and PVP but additonally grinding random rocks to dust also fufills your duties.

The rest of the fufilling game play is up to you to decide what it is and how to do it. There's plenty to do, but the game does not reward you directly for much of it.

Pick 1 or all that are attractive to you:
  • Defending Friendly OPs
  • Destroying Enemy OPs
  • Successfully Beacon Dropping
  • Catching and destroying enemy Beacon Droppers
  • Train new players
  • Build and Administer a successfull Wing
  • Accumlate all the ships
  • Max out the equipment on a ship (or five)
  • Collect X amount of resources
  • Obtain some goal on the Leader Board of your Choice
  • and more......
Beyond the opening turtorials very little fufilling content is deleveried by the game, its left to you to find fufillment (or frustration) through your own efforts.

Hope that helps

I think with the most recent update or the one before, I can't recall...the only way to join a wing is to be invited by one of the Wings admins. Which means you will need to ask around to get invited to one. Check the Wings section of this forum on your Server specific forum and see if anyones looking (quite likely).

You can either start your own wing or ask to be a recruit for an existing wing. Many good wings on Aquaria to choose from. Keep in mind however that we are currently outnumbered on the Cylon side. Because of this you should have little trouble finding a squad to join at least. I suggest you join a few squads and get to know some of the players and their style of play. This will also help you in choosing a wing to apply for.

Good hunting

Default Advice

Many players from where I see spend too much time gathering resources rather than playing the game as intended, being player versus player.

Many players spend hour and hour "farming" NPC for resources.

You can make lots of resources by balancing PVP with farming.

Flying solo is less fun than flying with other players, whether az a wing or with friend/randoms.

Meet new players by active communication on the chat and by helping others.

Avoid unsolicited SPAM friend and squadron invites.

Again, the Chat function is great.

Experiment and find out what is fun for you.

Enjoy

There are some mini-assignments, you go and speak to "the old" adama, commander, and you get some missions, which let you try out some of the other ships available,..

They come with lvl 1 eq i think, but gives you a good idea of their capabilities and limitations, which is good when deciding to buy another ship later

Also teaches you some important tactics when you do these early in the game :-)
