Logged into kobol played for a while, everything was running great, system assets loaded in very quickly time in between jumps was short, ship jumped out and screen followed it into the next system instead of it just freezing... Then I switched back to aquaria, slow loading times, invisible players/missles/npc's multiple unity crashes, and lots and lots of lag.

Game play is still much improved since switching to firefox , however the "crashing" problem is still re-occuring ,where the game freezes and the only way to exit from full screen and the game is to perform a hard shutdown , I have noticed that EVERY time this problem happens it is when I attempt to perform a jump . Son far today this has happened no fewer than 5 times .

Also I have noticed something as regards invisible ships ....when the texture for the main planet is missing it co-incides with invisible Player ships , invisible mine ships and invisible missiles , when they "load " into the game they all load in at exactly the same time . This can take as much as 5 mins to happen but they will eventually load now .

I will say however that my Unity is now holding at approx 580 Mb , and this seems to have helped matters .

I'd say game freezes only happen if you play in full-screen mode when a crash is imminent. It's like the full-screen mode prevents the unity error report from launching which further shuts down any keyboard/mouse commands aside from ctrl-alt-del.

Agreed.. You need to open up task manager and end the unity task. Its the only other thing you're allowed to do other than just completely shutting down your comp, which is NOT recommended

Please read my post #173 in this thread , as I have already said , task manager will not launch , I cannot use the "esc" key etc ..the ONLY way to remedy the crash in my case is to perform a "hard - shutdown " when I get one of these full game and browser freezes in full screen mode.

I don't even need to end unity on the task manager. As soon as it launches, the game screen minimizes and I can fill out the unity report and refresh the browser. I just wind up closing the task manager without using it to shut down any tasks.

Why I would not recommend playing in full screen mode until the unity crashes stop happening. I think I'm more prone to my laptop crashing in the summer because of the heat. I believe in the past with other browser games it might be the blue screen of death or the game would just spontaneously reboot.
