1) Why wasn't Colonial Week advertised in the "Breaking News" section on the login page?

2) When is Cylon Week?

1 because nothing is put in the breaking news area! thats what those things are there for, don'tcha know.

Aha! So what you are saying it was Colonial Week, and the Cylons launched an EW attack on BGSO and debuffed the server, so we got 0 cost FTL missions instead of a rock splitter event!

So in essence, it was Cylon Monday, and Colonial rest of the week.

It would be interesting to see more free FTL Mission day (more power to those with tons of free time!)... the 1st July one was nice, although many did not do the mission in fear of it being a bug and players being banned due to exploiting it. Sadly, BP made no official statement to calm down the masses (as far as I know).

see my only bug was when i did the mission after the free one, on thursday...didnt complete just like i didnt complete it on the previous monday...lost all the cubits...didnt think i needed a screenshot before it messed up..."not enough proof" ...grr

If they didn't ban the players platfarming, they wouldn't ban players from FTL missions they implemented on purpose. Realistically speaking, if they wanted it stopped, they could stop it at a moment's notice

Personally, i was on my last day of sick leave, and FTL missions were free. This was the first time ever that a game i've played had an offer on a day that i COULD play for a while.

I have around 150 ftl co-ords, but keeping them for the next time i get a Divine Inspiration, AND the game is much more stable...

I disagree tho, 0 cost FTL missions shouldn't be a frequent occurence, BP need to earn money from the game, and the odd boost like this is nice, but we don't want people to depend on it, else the game dies

It was nice to have plenty of tuning kits to upgrade stuff with, makes wanting to spend on the game more enticing actually, esp when you have just bought a new ship :-)
