I agree this is a really, really, really baaaaaaaaaad idea. I also agree with rifleman, there are better ways of saying this is a baaaaaaaaaad idea than insulting the original poster.

your idea smacks too much of any number of MMOs which have been based on the Dungeons & Dragons Franchise and has no real place in a Space Battle Game (no matter what that game is). This idea would not even fit into the "Original Battlestar Galactica" univere, which did have laser cannons.
