I have made yet another thread to help get aerilon a little more organized
and to get all the facts. N dates straight.

-To better update the timeline on aerilons Facebook page as well.

This will be told by you aerilon both cylon and colonial

With little to no insight from me.

So play nice for a few mins.

Red_Plague decided to build a presence on Aerilon after building a base as the MetalLords of Scorpia in December of 2011. Their leader began to play Aerilon full time in March. The server never was the same thereafter.

Holly n the Raiders and all the scripting and macro cheats and bull sh.. that made this server trash in the beginning. Why talk about the history of crap that this server had. Hope for a better game and less cheating that big point ignores. The one thing i rem about the early days on this server is .. if you were not cheating you were just cannon fodder for those that were. Almost made this game not worth playing. but there are other servers.

I thought I might through in my 2 cents for the history of Aerilon in my own biased opinion.

Early Feb 2011 Aerilon is created. When I joined in late Feb as a Colonial, the Cylons outnumbered and outgeared the Colonials but that was starting to change in late Feb early March. The top three colonial wings at the time where 7th, Redwing, Cylon Funeral and there was one more that was run by ZKTerror and Argasy however I forget what it was called. On the Cylon side there was Holies Raiders, La Familia, and NBD that I can remember. In late March/early April there was the first faction switch on Aerilon from Colonial to Cylon. In the faction switch most of Cylon Funeral switched sides and merged with Hollies Raiders to create Chaos Theory (I might be wrong about this Rusty might be able to correct it if i am). The first faction switch took the Colonials by suprise and the Cylons dominated in both Gear and numbers for a period of time. Within a month of the faction switch numbers and gear evened out and the colonials started to outnumber the cylons again. On April 15th and update was instituted that completely changed the economy on the games to something very similiar to what it is now. Before the update drones would drop about 120 to 200 cubits a pop, mines droped 250. NPCs dropped anywhere from 100 for fighters to up to 1000 for some of the lines. It was easy back in the day to farm 60k cubits a day by farming freighter groups.. 1 water=5 tyl back in the day. The update drastically cut down the number cubits from npcs and made 5 water=1 cubit. Also changes were made to the outposts progress which basically made it impossible to maintain an op without a fleet mining in the system and there was a whole week where only 2 ops will be on the map, 1 colonial one mostly in Asterian and 1 cylon one in Munin or Gierod or Gama. Also introduced in this update was the merits and the Viper mkVII and War Raider. By May colonials were starting to gain the upper hand on the server. The main wings for the colonials at the time where 7th, redwing, 51st, and crystal skulls. Cylon main wings at the time where Chaos Theory, NBD/La familia/ Which ever wing Staten created that merged the two. By June 2011, colonials where starting to clear the board with ease every night with little to no opposition. Cylons however where for the most part unable to do it to late night/early morning. By June all ships were available to play except the carrier.

June-November
Same crap, different day. Collies outnumbered and outgeared most of the cylons. Multiple clears of the map each day with the cylons having 0 hope to stop it. During this time period collonials with the lack of a challenge/threat from the cylons started infighting between wings and persons. This plus the lack of a challenge drove many colonials to create alts and started to play on the cylon side (myself included). These alts essentially where the reason for the cylon paranoia and the whole purple-gate of not trusting anyone. Cylons would lose in any fleet engagement and switched to more gorila style tactics and hit and runs.

Nemisis Tournament (Late November 2011)
This reward for 1st place in this tournament was a free Carrier when it came out.. Shortly before the tournament I decided that I was done playing as a colonial and officially announced the retirement of my colonial account (this one) and was going to play as a dedicated cylon. During the tournament the colonial strategy was simple. Use supperior numbers and firepower to essentially establish a blockade on every single tourny system. The cylon strategy was to hit and run using strikes and pick off straglers or weak ones. needless to say the colonials strat didnt work and the Carrier was won by me on my cylon account In early Dec 2011, hope came to the cylons in the form of a faction switch and several players from other servers started to play cylon. This really evened out the scales as now both times could clear the map and prevent the other from doing so. Also this is when I switched wolve from colonial to cylon..


2012 will have to be written by someone else since i was deployed most of the time and do not have a good grasp of everything that happened
