Default What would this command line be useful for?

I loaded my command line with flak, PD, and damage buff computers, since I do not want to spend cubits upgrading weapons.

Do players welcome this kind of ship in OP defences and bashes, or is this build relatively useless?

the buffs are quite welcome...the Flak/PD...only if you are in the middle of the forward players..otherwise, ur gonna protect the middle of the group, where no one is, and the charging players will just die...i really think you should invest in some guns, so you can do both...my 2 cubits worth

Thanks for the input. I don't have the time and patience to level up line weapons to the standard though.

Of course, I would be supporting the forward middle group, since they're the ones who are actually causing damage.

If you were in the forward group, however, and then this flak/PD command line shows up, would you consider it a great utility, or just meh?

In other words, would such a command line contribute more to the fleet than the average gunship?

A command line is always quite usefull in fleet battles cause of the great buffs. All the other ships around you (which are not afk) deal more damage so that the fight is over quiker. Also if you are close to the front your flak/pd is very usefull, on our server the humans shoot alot of missles.

You should run away, when you see me play
I'm the source of all destruction
Veins that pump with fear,
You better not get near
All I do is wreck constructions

Come near me and you'll see
You should run from me
I'm dedicated to
Destroying me and you

Keep running faster
Away from the master
It all breaks faster
When you're near the master
Of disaster

So I finally got to test out full flak and PD in a fleet battle. I hit down alot of missiles, and lightly damaged a few strikes and escorts.

Not only did I render a whole bunch of missileboaters useless, it also looked awesome with all the little orange and blue shots.

If I like it enough in the next few battles, I might even advance the hel for more flak or PD.
Maybe I'll even try to specialize in it.

Are PD and flak worth upgrading, or should I save my cubits for computers and hull?

I as i stike pilot would hate you, if you were in my group when op bashing/defence, since flak generates a lot of lag, at least for me.
