Frage Level 15 of weapons

General question, what has higher damage at level 15, MEC-EX12´´CLAW-07´´ or standard MEC-EX12(P) ´´CLAW-P´´, eventually MEC-EX12(M) ´´CLAW´´.

I can compare DMG just to level 10 and at level 10 is same (min. 20, max 50).

Thanks

The two guns are the same except the standard gains optimal range as you upgrade it and the P gains critical offense. Their bases damage is equal for the same gun level. This continues to be true past level 10.

This means which does the most damage depends on your range. Within optimal range, the P will do the most damage regardless of whether they are both level 10 or both level 15, because of critical hits. However, the standard will have a longer optimal range, and therefore a greater distance within which it can do it's full damage.

Default Optimal range

Ok, so if the optimal range is 600, every lower (400,200, etc.) has maximum DMG? I have thought that also lower distance has lower damage according to distance from optimal range.

It would be better to say it had maximum accuracy at or under optimal range.

Optimal range means you have the greatest chance to do maximum/critical damage. I've done some testing, and it seems that when you're within 200-300 of optimal range either way, you have the greatest chance to hit your target. However, it seems that if you close in, you have less chance to hit, but each hit does major damage. Idk if its just my guns, or if its game intentional, but at lvl 12 I feel I should be hitting more the closer I get. Btw, my guns are the standard lr falcon cannons, from before the experimental weapons and p guns came out. It may differ with each type.

Whether you are in optimal range effects chance to hit. Everything within optimal range will have full chance to hit (95% before the target's avoidance is taken in to account). This chance then decreases linearly down to 5% at maximum range. So half way between optimum range and maximum range you have halved your chance to hit.

If you are hitting more then obviously you will do more damage

This is not the case, at any range within the optimal you will have the same chance to hit and the same damaging potential.

You must just be getting lucky/unlucky (take your pick )
