dont get me wrong shooting fish in a barrel (normal gameplay) is fun but the humans need real help.....

Higher Lvl humans just farm and dont help newer players
The lack of mentoring for new players is very low i see some ship setups that are so "wrong" they will make ya toes curl
A human mineship on average lasts about 5 mins in human space even less if layed in a red system
The Leaderboards are just owned by cylons.. from XP to tylium, ratios and pvp kills..
Call me selfish but i fear for my own game play cause im sure there is only so much time newer players can take of being killed in every system or haveing there mines destroyed in seconds before they just leave for other games

Its Even getting to the point where a human OP bash can be driven off by a few cylons running "god mode" line setups or a swarn of high end liches

i know the cylons will think less of me for this post cause im a cylon (lvl 137) but i want some real game play, real targets and sometimes even die lol

think you need to take a tour on Musphel sometimes and you will see how ''weak'' colonials really are... the fact they choose to farm instead of fight it's not a reason for a faction switch on a pretty balanced server. If you dislike to play as cylon create a colonial account and good luck :)

apparantly i seen dozens of cylon OP bash fail. and guess what, humans coordinated together and defended their system with amazing power. they gathered at the place where cylons jump in. and in seconds, a cylon liner will break and another and another.
i was flying a strike craft so i didnt get noticed.

apparantly, if u say that cylons are too powerful, then why did i see that humans apparantly bashed cylon's OP so far that there is only 3 OPs left for the cylons?

An OP bash isnt a show of power its an event fueled by players for a need for merits both side can bring a huge fleet to the table but what i mean is day to day general play. Back in the day it was rare to see a human or cylon in enemy space nowadays i see the map getting more red as the days go on and there are allways cylons past the centre line and at the moment i notice alot of new humans to the game are slowly getting liners/ escorts and are trying to earn cubits to lvl up there stuff and ok sometimes they do a call for help and some higher lvl players come to help which kicks off a system war which if the player base of cylons is high the cylons just zerg there way to victory with over powered ships i just dont wanna see lower lvl players on both sides leave the game cause there getting pounded by super high lvl players with near maxed ships.. Yes the humans have ok numberes but alot are still growing as players and there ships... The other day in gamma i see maby 12 under lvl 40 human players trying to defend there mines an OP and was beaten by 2 liches lol if i logged on and got destroyed soon as the loading screen come up ild just give up over time and leave....

As a level 139 cylon i will no longer attack a player who isnt lvl 90+ plus we need to let the new humans get there gear up and grow i just hope other cylons can do the same...

I dont think humans ever show that courtesy to cylons, as a matter of fact if you have lived through the time when humans dominated you'd know how they spawn camp every system kill everything, and kill cylon op as soon as it turns up.

I'll call you when "brave" humans who are so weak in their lvl90 souped up halberds and strikes ( which would be in group of three or more) come to imsida or spectris, see if you can last against them.

If my memory servers well you know that you too got wasted by certain female halberd that is named after a cyclone, who is always escorted with a strike with a diamon on its head. Just two of them, they ripped you up, before this new patch.

Also we all know that after lvl84 there is no difference in skill levels, coz everything will be lvl10. As a matter of fact if you dont do that mining, ftl and munition, you can get rest of your skills to lvl10 at lvl73.

Mate forget about all this things, they seem to be permanent problems with no apparent solution, sort of part of life now.

just go out there and have fun and dont worry about all these things.

No need for a faction switch as how can the balance be judged if a UNKNOWN proportion of the players cant log in even when there is no stupid Festival of Khaos.

A faction switch would have incentives that pay off people jumping in a switch that they want in the first place like in last switch

i have every advanced ship in game and all the merit ships advanced strike, liche and nidhogg... i dont do dailys, op bashes and no longer need merits i just fear for the health of a game i like playing cause my friends list ust to be so active and now due to all the bugs and problems so many good cylons and humans are leaveing....

Don't get me wrong, I'm impressed with how good the cylons are, but I put a lot of it down to the Cylon TS. Makes much easier to call for back up and see who is online.. One thing you must remember that colonials don't have, which sucks!

I've even contemplated switching myself should they do a full faction switch as I like the fact that people show up to defend for cylons, where as colonials they hardly go past wegelin.. But then colonials get owned even more than now.. Cylons need more low level strikers/escorts, colonials need more high level liners.

Ronk have always been so hard working together cos we share our setups, help players build up and always attack and defend together. Plus the main guys are always on our TS..

Anyway, I can't believe they still won't let Oblivion switch from Cylon to Colonial.. Jeez it's just a few clicks of the keyboard for the admins, the guy is clearly unhappy over there.. Just do it.. He's been asking for a year now lol..

Oh and about your post of the muspell farming, mate I hate it too.. I farm there everyday now as it pays for my dc packs and it's the only way to keep up with the 24/7 farmers.. Much easier and less risky then water.. But to be honest I never was a miner.. On the Bot side of things I have already sent support a ticket on the issue when I see them in nilfhel doing it, but they say back we would appreciate video or proof etc.. then I see someone send them a video and they say there is no way to prove it from the video.. Just remove the shared loot option BGO!!!! It sucks!

I read with dread three word colonial intel chat posts. TS is much better than chat, but the colonial communication skills are poor on chat.

Colonial can improve organisation with better communications.

Intel should be more detailed. (Location, enemy strength and composition, server time, a request for help and some spiritual messages help ( defend your pride).

At some level a small cylon the colonial faction switch would restore some balance.

I do not support large scale faction switched...ever.

and something has to be done to make stationary farming the least profitable way to earn cubits.

More you complain more nerfed we will get. Humans already got our lines nerfed, cubit drops nerfed, npc nerfed. The only thing left to nerf is my pants.

Btw about the faction switch absolutely not. The server is balanced right now.

I urged many good players to train people they dont even belong to their factions. The strikes might be surprising you because we have started cross wing training sessions. Tactical data is passed on to those who remain active and wish to learn inspite of wing/country/language and other ra ra ra ra insignificant bull cookies.

I have helped few players since they were lvl5 and now they are formidable, strong players, regardless of the wings they join.

Many of my friends and me encourage new players help them select wings, pass on any information they need to know. I even pass on what goes on in forums to all cylons.

We are not many, we got united. This is our secret.

Only yesterday when you came with 4 carriers that I thought " finally humans worked it out".

Right now it is balanced, our low lvls are getting some breathing space, let them have it. It is already hard to collect resources and be able to actually "play" this game.

Put it this way , in case of faction switch, our low lvls will insta quit, coz they are already not happy with all the nerfing going on. Now it takes months of playing mining/farming star galactica to get to the point where they can put up fight. Even when i am trying to help collect resources it seems difficult, time consuming and frustrating, I cant even imagine how a low lvl would feel with low lvl gear to do anything in this game.

You guys will only be left with "made in nilfel" ships to fight with, or kill lvl1-lvl10 who wouldnt have any idea what is happening. I will definately quit , even if i love this game and I know many of my friends will quit too. I'll loose some money I spent on this game, but pff i rather play something where things are not one-sided or only favour wallet-warriors. Believe me or not but those who love this game and actually "play" will quit.

I think, and I suppose you will agree that our focus right now should be on fixing the bugs and problems with this game. Let the devs work on it first. Then we can do something about alleged faction balance.

On the topic of changing 1 cylon to human , you should contact support. That is the only way.

To come to conclusion: If your idea of balance is to become dominating and to be victorious with little or no efforts, then my question would be "how in the gods name that can be engaging, interesting or fun?"

P.S : I have been playing on this server since 7 months, and I remember very well that when your faction dominated, humans were nothing but cruel. Most fought with no sense of fair play. There used to be 50 ships doing opbash sometimes even two to three opbashes going on simultaneously. Constant harrasment of low lvls in low lvl systems by human high lvls. Everthing humans did was overkill. squads of vipers, squads of escorts, squads of liners per hourly basis visiting and killing players 20 lvls below their lvls. 1 vs 1 is with a high lvl is tough, but ok, But fighting hordes of merciless savages is just not fair.

Ask Boundforglory, one of the few players that used to come for rescuing low lvls at that time. And I am in debt of those players who actually cared and helped putting aside their differences and volunteering to help weaker players without any selfish motives.

Your communication problems in your faction is frankly speaking your problem, why drag cylons into it.

Our lines have been nerfed, Human/Cylon lines have same blind spots, as a matter of fact Nidhogg is no longer God ship it used to be.

BTW only the very high lvls who have high lvl gear are capable of going AFK farming, and they care about nothing and sit in their farming spot all day, get merits from opbash and when they decide to play they solo it out or play in arena. They dont really play. We have a wings that play completely privately.

If you'd know about our gear lvl you'll be surprised that it is not very high, and I speak of only those players who really play the game.

It is your fault that you guys use same gear, same tactics over and over again and we got used to it, we know how to beat it. And I spread it around :)

Only few times I saw humans really put heart into it and made thing interesting. There only few players on human side that have my respect and admiration, fighting them gives us a sense of pride. I always talk to them on Og, after engaging couple of times we depart like good friends, with smile on both our faces, regardless of who wins.

I think the balance is good, sometimes the map is mostly red and others its blue.
I have logged in at lots of different times day and night and I can always find some cylons to fight!

True the Cylons could do with more mid level escorts and strikes.
There lines are better but it gives our side something to aim for.

If they switched the high level cylons it will be bad for balance as they need them to help there low levels. If anything I think some low level colonials should be able to switch to the cylons.
Colonials still have the numbers advantage.

If individuals have a case to switch faction then I don't see the problem with making that a bit easier.

Personally I would like more cylons playing so I can get my DEOs done more quickly.:)

Hi Zytzef,.The colonial lines have been nerfed a wee bit too, the firing arcs on some weapons have been moved. i don't fly a liner but a lot of my wing mates do and it takes a bit of getting used to.

As for the lack of good liners on the colo side, surely there should be some coming out of muspell soon. The amount of farming up their for god knows how long should have produced more good liners.

But, 7 of the 11 colonials in the top 20 were in the Ronk teamspeak coordinating how we'd fight. But i tell you something, I wont be doing a tourney again, that killed me, way too long and dull.. Plus the reward, what a joke that is, I could have spent all that time in muspell and earned double that on npcs..

Yes I farm in Muspell. Why? Because before these crappy bugs from Bugpoint, I already had level 11/12 equipment, then I see all the big cylon wings in nilfhel for weeks on end cashing in on the npc farming. So you think I was happy about that? No. But as usual, Bugpoint won't fix the problem with a roll back at the time, when we ask for it on the forum:-

I take it you haven't read that... lol. So please don't start barking at me when you don't know what you're talking about. Also, I speak to your wing leader Malok all the time on TS. Ronk, Balkan Warriors, GVTPT we're all discussing what to do before the last faction switch as we in Ronk saw how badly the cylons were getting hammered. We even laid off any Tylium and Titanium mines of all cylons at that time because of it.

Oh and I want people to farm in Muspell.. So they can keep up with the cylon farmers.. I never see Nilfhel being touched.. So think of how far some cylons are ahead of you.. Is that fair..? No, but all the complaining in the world won't make the devs do anything about it. It took them 3 weeks and a big forum post to make them dump the platform bug and that was netting some people 350k cubits for 12 hours with a divine on.

You probably haven't seen Ronk much around and that's because a lot of players have taken a break because of the bugs and gone to Star Trek Online instead.. I don't blame them, I have been tempted to dump this game too.

Oh and as for talking about myself and my wing, believe me, if all of RonK came back online, this server would be very different. And that's not arrogance, it's fact. Many of the old faces know this. We have played this game very well since it began. Just as we have respect for several cylon wings.

I love this games rumour mill. Nothing is as organized as the other side thinks. The one where most cylons have level 15 equipment was not true, so the one TS server for all cylons is not as much an advantage as we thought.

Sorry oldnoob about last night, i haven't got a clue who was shooting the nukes. I was too busy dieing to see who was shooting them. Good tactics going for the lines that were on a war jump from the last system.

I'm slowly getting used to this strike flying stuff.:)

Hmm, interesting. I just like the idea of being able to message anyone with ease on TS. The game chat is rediculous, you try to whisper someone and you find it says User does not exist because there is some letter different or underscore or something.. I dunno..



Oh and Life_Taker, I don't mean to be rude, but I won't take advice from someone who I always see going nuts on Open Global chat. Every single time. Don't get me wrong, I do it sometimes too but jeez dude you take it to another level. Also, I think you're fairly new, I haven't seen you before the last 3 weeks..

Yes I farm in Muspell. Why? Because before these crappy bugs from Bugpoint, I already had level 11/12 equipment, then I see all the big cylon wings in nilfhel for weeks on end cashing in on the npc farming. So you think I was happy about that? No. But as usual, Bugpoint won't fix the problem with a roll back at the time, when we ask for it on the forum:-

I take it you haven't read that... lol. So please don't start barking at me when you don't know what you're talking about. Also, I speak to your wing leader Malok all the time on TS. Ronk, Balkan Warriors, GVTPT we're all discussing what to do before the last faction switch as we in Ronk saw how badly the cylons were getting hammered. We even laid off any Tylium and Titanium mines of all cylons at that time because of it.

Oh and I want people to farm in Muspell.. So they can keep up with the cylon farmers.. I never see Nilfhel being touched.. So think of how far some cylons are ahead of you.. Is that fair..? No, but all the complaining in the world won't make the devs do anything about it. It took them 3 weeks and a big forum post to make them dump the platform bug and that was netting some people 350k cubits for 12 hours with a divine on.

You probably haven't seen Ronk much around and that's because a lot of players have taken a break because of the bugs and gone to Star Trek Online instead.. I don't blame them, I have been tempted to dump this game too.

Oh and as for talking about myself and my wing, believe me, if all of RonK came back online, this server would be very different. And that's not arrogance, it's fact. Many of the old faces know this. We have played this game very well since it began. Just as we have respect for several cylon wings.

Please check your facts before you post Life_Taker.

Wait until you're fighting for a mine, you win the fight and someone waits doesn't help you and takes the mine you worked for. Then x 50 that and see how you feel lol. See if that attitude remains. Don't get me wrong, that's how this game should be played.. But it's not.

I recently quitted an online game I've played since 1999 and found a new home here.
I know how to play a game just how I like it over a very long time.
I don't care how everbody else plays. I play for fun. I only have one ship: the funnest, the one that brings a smile at once.

I've experienced the mining problems early on, trust me and my poor cubits :(
My solution: f... mines (boring anyway).
Some hotshots play dirty. Solution: Get their licence plate and f...'em.

What's up with certain wings never inviting me or anyone not winged in OP bashes while they have room? That's seriously narrowminded stuff right there. I am your fragging (?) ally! If you invite me I feel even more obligated to shoot your misiles. red = ally aka friendly

The best compliment Cylons can get is a thread like this. I hope it's skill, coordination and honorable dedication, rather than something else.
Humies: stop mining every single piece of rock and try hunting us more trying to even the playing field. I see blue system dominance all the time.
Mining is what you do on a break...
Cylons: stop hanging around in circles and kick it into high gear. Farming is for farmers
Devs: Make Humie lines prettier, so they dare to be seen in it.

Sorry oldnoob about last night, i haven't got a clue who was shooting the nukes. I was too busy dieing to see who was shooting them. Good tactics going for the lines that were on a war jump from the last system.

I dont know what is your ingame name, but mine is same as my username, during opbash, if we are there I would group with you. so would life taker, oldnoob, yacabel, kjubi, croisis well there are many more once you get antiquated with any of this player you'll never find a dull moment in this game.

I spoke about this before, there are some groups that do private opbash, for their wing only.

HAHA, i will just force you to kill me and you will be lvl90 in no time :p

AND: when i go over to the blue side of the map i see lvl20-40s with adv liners. only explanation: they farm all the time/buy the cubits(no probs), so i see some quite powerful newbies with incredible firepower. But i die with laughter when there is a strike with a 'wrong' config get killed by me, its like they arent told what to put in their ship :cool:

So all we need is some people on each side who can mentor newbies :)
