Hello.

Over the past week or two there have been several threads about russian players, playing on Scorpia. A lot of posts have had to be moderated due to bad language - something that is not allowed on the forums, gets in the way of any discussion and takes up a lot of moderator time.

So on that note, I have made this new discussion thread. If you have any thoughts about balance, ship tactics or other talk about new Cylon players, please discuss it here.

A reminder: Keep the language clean and respectful. Do not accuse people of cheating on the forums and no personal attacks.

Not anymore than it was already the mod is just doing his job. Good idea also.

Again glad to have the new blood. That said the builds are not anything new.

Main innovation is in buying which shows xp. However, this lev of ammo and dc packs is unstable. It will not be maintained. The prob you will run into is simple numbers, you don't have enough ammo.

I do not think you have that much money to waste. Cost per kill is very high.

I think this hurts you larger plan which is to upgrade strikes lol. Also why you are tring to get coloinals to change their builds to a less strike defensive one. Phase two... As I said before nice but transparant.

Counter as I posted to this is very easy do not let them in a system. Flack ball spawn camps lol and game over.

As i have observed, these guys have came into Scorpia because some all-knowing guy had dared to say that the EU servers and players "suck".

They had came, they had seen, and they had conquered.

What i see on the Scorpians side, however, is nothing but what the community calls "butthurt": Calling everyone "Cheater", "Bug User", "DPS Multiplier", whatever. You degrade yourself; And by doing that, you help them to conquer you even more. You show(ed) how weak indeed your server is. And you still keep doing that.

What i would suggest, lords of "butthurt", to make up your minds, and try to fight against this challenge so you might end up learning how to play in the end.

Because the indicators show that majority of the people who whine here has less skill than a 5-year old kid mashing mushrooms in Super Mario.

Stop hiding behind made-up excuses, and fight against it.

For once someone understands the condition of the BSG community. People get so mad over changes that happen in the game.

I'm going to make this clear that I'm not accusing anyone but there are people in our server (The names shall not be mentioned) that we outnumber the Cylons. They always complain that "Oh the only reason you guys win it's because you outnumber us...UNBALANCED!!"

I've said this so many times it's not even funny. It's about who's active on a daily basis, what major wings that are involved and how organized people are.

I don't mind the Russians coming, it's a challenge provided for us anyways but NOO!! The community are so concentrated on taking over the whole map all the time and have the Cylons/ Colonials complain about it.

I'm glad they are here, stops people from complaining most of the time and makes them feel happy and play more.

For frak sake, I go to Epislon Iordiani for dailies and it's a bloody ghost town, now there are people that come out of the cracks in this game. get on and play.

We didn't ask for it but I think it makes things more interesting.

The Cylons spend more time in balent then most of our fleet. Sad really when a carrier red group, 5 crabs, and some defunct footballs troll in there for no other reason then to bully the new, mid players.

As much as I had said this about our side I can not stand baby seal clubbing for no reason. It in the end is not good for any one. I don't care where the player is. If they are not in a squad helping other players that counts for deos, did not fire on you firs, guarding a mine, or have to be killed for a tatical reason doing so is wrong.

And it's wrong because it bad for the game as a whole on logic reasons. We want new deo material on both sides.

And IMHO it's wrong as it is bad sportsmanship.

I do help protect the lower levs on my server. And no if you count for a deo it is not seal clubbing.

There are very very few secret high lev gear in a less than lev 10 player.

This is a game not a war.

And if you are worried at lev 70 Plus about a less than lev 10 stop playing afk lol

Of 3 reasons IMO. 1. Ego since "skill" has nothing to do with killing a lev 5 and they can barely hurt you you feel god like. 2. Your were killed and now want payback. 3. You have a hard time
Killing others.

Seal clubbing hurts the game as I explained. Don't be so selfish. I want them to grow up so they count.

And this is not naval piloting wake up it's a game and the objective is to lev your ship and finished your assigenments. More targets helps with the objective.

Patience Atomic, i am currently working my glaive up. Everything is only lvl6-7 buddy. It takes TIME if you don't have deep pockets, and mine are empty.

Come on now guys,. I'v been a dedicated Spectre pilot since the Day closed beta opened,. Tried a lieche for a while but always went back to my trusted Spectre,. For the longest time I've been alone and ridiculed by not only my own Faction, But by Colonials as well for flying the Spectre instead of My Lieche.
My kill count speaks for itself. All those who defeated me 1v1 with a speed Missleboat will never reach my kill count using that build,. Congrats to you, LOL!

I am aware of all the dedicated Glaive & Spectre Pilots of Scorpia, But recently I'v noticed a rise in the amount of new Command escort pilots,. What happened?,. @ Dohh,. Theirs no Build I haven't tried, And I am a firm believer in Not wasting valuable slots for duplicate gear,Other than hull. I look forward to talking with you inGame.

@Talon,. You & others already know how to defeat me 1v1, But you'll never do it in a Glaive unless you want to go speed Missile boat, LOL!,. Just remember, The Command escort is a extremely expensive ship to equip, Use & maintain,. Every week some of my gear goes up a level whether I play all week or not,. By the time you get your gear equal to mine I'll have all 15, LOL!.

I think that the only reasons for the want of a faction switch are because of the Cylon OP buster fleets that sweep through the systems. I've woken up to find that, for example, I'm almost 20LY away from the nearest Colonial OP (Epsilon Krau). I also think two other reasons are because of "I didn't want to play as a Cylon/Colonial" or the OBVIOUS fact that most Colonial pilots are "lone wolves" while the Cylons are so cooperative that, I'm exaggerating for effect, 20 lvl 10 Raiders could take down a OP by themselves.
As such, put it on record that I am against a Faction Switch. The only thing that is needed for Colonials is a couple courses in teamwork.

@atomic what I mean is they have not been playing long lol. But they wanted to dedicate to that ship. They have leved up in the last few months to about talons ship and 3x skill of his lol j/k. But they are excited about facing you and expect to die lol. They know who you r. We don't do tags so hard to target the wing. We don't have tags because of my huge ego you know lol.

i will say this there strike arena canadate is decent but he won the first match on damage and i killed him the second. So technically im yet to die. but hes far better than the scorpia strikes to date. mad props

Wrong they finally got somthing right. The ammo change will be a game changer. IMO it will allow a player to adjust to a set up faster. The game now is based on a static pvp set up. If this ammo does what I think it will skill and understanding of counters in combat not before will be more important. I think we all are in for a new type of game.

True I dont mind losing on damage I mind exploding. Just happy that I did with lvl 9 to 12 gear what most people on the server can't seem to do with lvl 15 gear. Lags been beyond severe for me which is part of the reason i didnt do arena anymore and handed off my points. Still was a good fight. Most fun I've had in a long time on the server. Look forward to more matches :)

We had that on both sides on scorpia my 12.99 strike killed there 1000 dollar ones lol.
It was a hell of a lot of fun with him. Its good to have finally found someone since I left caprica to give me a solid fight. Most are far to easy. Only other guy I know that could rival dooh is a cylon named oriax on caprica. He and another named chiggy were the ones that helped force me to become better. Just hope once I get my new conection ill be more of a handful.

I'm sorry but yesterday you got stomped and we had sector control throughout primetime. at least till I logged off at 10:30pm, can't say about afterward. The only one who had any meaningful success at all is when buba and WnX took out the Pegasus, and I think they only got 4 or 5 ops, but managed to keep Pegasus alive.

So you may have ended up taking a few noob systems while we were chasing Peggy or destroying the real colonial Zerg led by thug. Congrats on that lol.

Look do not get me wrong here. But RCS builds are not stratragy they are a tactic. This game has very little in the way of strategic moves. Flack and RCS is beatable but expensive to do so. As a cost benefit with is expended per kill if the defender does not expend on red tips or nukes even if you "win" you still lose. War is more than battles it Econ also. Keep this in mind.

Kill an op and it is right back up. And as you do we are killing yours behind you. Main difference is cylons do not have to do as many beacon drops.

This is starting to get boring the fen is all over and flack can't always save you.

Umm actually we were doing it AFTER pegasus left the battlefield. Infact you guys finally managed to stop us in 169 and Raastabaan. Couple of STO guys tried to take us out in Spectris and got STOMPED HARD.

Anyone who was on last night, has eyes, and the ability to press the "N" key knows exactly what you are full of, but nice try. Victor is sadly a shadow of its former self. While never impressive tactically, you at least had the numbers and some decent players. I have not seen Kreia in a while, hopefully all is well with him irl.

As far as Spectris goes, yes 1 or 2 guys missed a call and jumped in after the op was destroyed and you managed to take them out 14 v 2. Well done.

Kreia has internet issues, but don't worry he'll be back. And noob systems. We took out Vidofner, 227, Zedian, Spectris. Some might be lowbie systems but Vid and 227 are not.

But again. You think Victor is a shadow of it's former self? We'll just have to remedy that.

How did you notice you were to busy popping DC line packs. Free words of wisdom while you are to busy worrying about getting killed you drop to only 40% combat effectiveness. If you or your wing were not to busy noob hunting in Balent, you might actually be able to roll a map.

When we arrived - the balance was 50/50. It was at 0 hours on the server. Sector Cylon pulled down some nubo group. It's not like the fact that we saw two weeks ago. Usually at this time, the Cylons do not have their outposts.

Cylons - to it began easier and to play more interestingly

They can't hit us with reds anymore ;D They will hit more often maybe, but hits will be 30% lower than from reds ;D And strikes wouldn't chew us as hard as before... not sure if we will need so much flacks anymore ;D

We have heard disturbing rumors. It turns out the colonists tried to intimidate the Cylons Scorpio. Later on secret channels of the MGB, we found out some details. It seems some of the colonists decided that, in a fair fight they can not win. And they decided to do is not honest. But in the end they themselves have made themselves worse.
So the result of their actions directly opposite. What an irony.

Lol dude read page two. Dc packs are next they have to be. The ships will be unable to reach god status which is how the game should be. It will be skill and gear lev hear on out. These god builds have a clock tic tock.

Your fens are based on power and packs. And not getting hit. Period. This is soon to be over. Flack is useless via a cannon and in large engagements you have lost the one edge you needed to beat focus fire. It is over. You wastes your cash. Soon fens will be back to their only real use missle boats that just anoy a solo line, and die to fast strikes and escorts. The game is being fixed not broken.

I am being 100% honest here I almost only play during primetime. I put I 2-3 hours a day on avg. I do see more cylons on the offensive and basicly ops down on both sides that is a change. Outside that no effect.

I have seen a few fleet battles with the Russians however when I saw their builds and killed a few I lost intrest. I now do what I have been doing, chat with friends and get my dailes finished. Which I do with very little problem. The op busting is being mostly done by the normal cylon groups.

Basicly they helped get the train moving faster and kudos for them. But I still see split systems, which means failure for both sides. As much as before and sector control stays mostly in the blue.

In the end our ops are back up faster and we just have the numbers. Sad but the reason cows make it is because there are so many. A super predator if you want to call some cylons that can only kill so many. It's just facts. So it may be due to fighting or just numbers but however you slice it, we are not getting hammered.
Nor are 8 guys Clearing the board each night. It is just not happening. I was here for true cylons domination, this is not it. It's more op bash balance.

There is no war. OP's only have 2 purposes - for a respawn location and to grab merits from.

The fact that Comrades have more threads about them then anything else on these forums, just shows what they accomplished.
Since your still talking about them, and getting defensive on every point brought up - goes to show that they succeeded.

Lets not mention the avoidance setups that became popular on Scorpia because of them. All the line pilots using Armour on their ships because of them.
