I would change this to a double loot drop from PvP only.
If its not it will never work there will just be 100s of people all trying to farm the same npcs and plats and most likely you will end up getting less than you normally do because of it or nothing at all because you've logged off out of frustration.
Mining same as above it wouldn't work.
And no more merits!! They are already super easy to get any easier an they might as well jsut give everyone their daily merits just for loggin in.
Best idea would be 2x loot from PvP, no merits for OPs and increased merits from PvP as an event instead.

why not just incorporate a 25-50% increase in mining rates and drops into the weekend event? as well as loot drops, exp, etc.
although i do like the idea of having some variation to the events, rather than just the exact same event every few weekends.

Not being greedy. As a high level player who has supported this game since day 1, double XP means absolutely nothing to me anymore. All of my skills have been maxed for months so I can no longer benefit from XP. I like Scby's suggestions. Especially the double mining income. Alternately (and this has been discussed before in several dedicated threads), how about adding new skills to train or a new tier to current training so that there is some incentive for high levels. Make them cost ridiculous amount of XP so they are hard to train. Hell, let me trade my millions of XP for some ammo or dc packs. High levels need incentive too. Seems every week a few high level vets leave the game.

I would also like to see new skills but I'd like to see features already in the game utilized over adding another skill field.

It's about us high levels too! Why would an MMOg not want to satisfy its MOST veteran of players?
The goal here should be to satisfy the player base...not some specific group of the player base!
Yes we are hooked...but there are many of us who rarely login anymore because they are waiting for more of a reason to login. For many, it won't take much...:cool:

or it will be like the tournament event where the faction with most players spawncamps all the key systems and normal play is impossible even with the 10 sec protection , you have no chance at all landing in a group of players

Even with double loot on people won't be bothering too much with pvp loot,you get more from npcs and even that loot isn't great.
Most of the farming will be on elite strikes and lines,and the plats.

Imagine how many people would be in line for plats on a double loot weekend. As it is some people sit for hours on those things. Muspel and Nilfel would be packed and full of "stolen" plats.
This is what divine inspiration and the mining boosters are for. GO OUT SHOOT PVP get ufo boxes, get your boosters their. Earn them.

So? I want twice as much loot dammit, this current loot BARELY covers my expenses.

I understand that but its not ALL about you high levels and Im sure at least you would understand it. I think that the merit cap increase would benefit some who are trying to save up to get their adv merit ships and it may be all too easy for high levels to get merits but it is slow for those without lvl 10-15 gear that play for absolutely nothing. It would be nice to have a bonus on merits and the xp works for me at least who is still working on skills and such.

There are already thrace thursdays for exp and merit cap increase,and merits are not slow to get running under lvl 10 gears,op bashes are a dime a dozen,and getting deos isn't hard if you look in the right paces,element of surprise and/or flying know how makes up somewhat for lower level gears.
Loot or mining increase would be more beneficial for everyone rather than exp that only benefits a portion of players.Merits,eh not hard to get already,and i personally think they're too easy to get now.
