View Full Version : How Do You Chat In-Game?
I can't find out how to chat in-game, either in-game or on the forums. I type something into the chatbox, but I press enter like in most games and my message isn't sent.
Could I get some help?

I know for me, it depends on which enter button I use, If use the one on the numpad, it won't work, if I use the other one it does.
I only have the one "Enter" key on my keyboard, I'm on a laptop.

It's bothering me immensely. Do I have to type /o or /s before I type anything else?
Chat has its hickups atm.
Its an known issue and we can only be patients till its fixed.
However sometimes it helps to clear your browser cache.

It makes it really hard to play, especially if you're off solo scouting systems.

Well, that's 0 - 4.
I think I might suggest adding a small "Enter" button for the chat box.

May i suggest you go to ypur option (press 'o'), select key bindings, and reset your controls. let us know how it does.

Hiccups is an understatement, unless one hiccup lasts for hours lol.
My chat problems are everyday. Some days i see it right away, then after less then an hour there are no updates in the box and then hours later i jump and then all of the chat will appear. Yesterday i didnt see chat for 3 hours then after my 4th or 5th jump it appeared, only again to disappear for hours and reappear again when i had tried to advise my wingmen of a target i was chasing.
Chat fix should be a top priority since it seems to be a vital part of this game in organization etc.
Yeah i know theres team speak etc, but over the years of mmos and raids etc, im so sick of vent TS and skype and hearing other peoples music, children pets bickering etc drives me nuts now lol Just make our good ol' fashioned chat box work please, i beg of you lol. A great game like this should not be brought down lower because of a chat problem.
I too cannot chat. I have never been able to, and I've been playing for a week. I figured it was something with the beta, but finally decided to check the forums and see if I was missing something.

No, as the mod said there are known bugs with chat.. They have been working on fixes so the only thing you can do is be patient after all this is a beta....

I think I've been the picture of patience - I'm not complaining, just pointing out that I've been unable to get it to work. I thought that was one of the purposes of the forums for a beta product.
I hope this issue gets fixed, soon. Not being able to talk really ruins the whole experience.
The keyboard works. It's a temporary fix, but it'll do until it does get fixed.

I agree with Evangel. I think a great solution would be to put a small button for submitting chat messages. At least this would fix the problem for now.
