I just received a beta invite but cannot play the game. what am I missing here? Yes I have the plugin installed.

Thats what I am thinking. Will check back in a few hours when i get home.
all in all, i guess we'll know in a few hours right? I just hope thats the case and our account updated soon!
I don't know about you guys but I am having a blast trying to login. O those Cylons...always playing mind games.

I bet this is a Cylon trap. We all try to log in then they get our IP's and hunt down all of the people who know they exist.

We just updated the text on the launch-page, which should explain why the button is currently inactive:

Please note the official annoucements, I think they are having a problem with the newly sent out invites and the closed beta server. They say its not working and are trying to fix it.

I'll just add that I'm locked out too in case they need to know the accounts that are locked out.

I guess its good to keep a bright side to things, but i wanna play now haha.

Yes, same issue here.
Mouse click actions are sadly boolean values though. I tried plugging my 360 controller in so I could have pressure sensitivity with its trigger buttons, but even then, no matter how hard I click, it doesn't launch.
Please note that prodding the screen doesn't work either, although you do get some pretty color ripples.

Same here. I just got my invite but I have a greyed out button. I'm guessing it's the same for everybody for now. Ah well, got a whole weekend to play it coming up!

The e-mails are naturally valid untill the closed beta is closed. I've noticed an odd issue though, although the e-mail I recieved is for the EU closed beta, I can only seem to access the US closed beta server.
i dont get the second mail >.< admins can you look that i am gain it fast as possible???

[I have recived e-mail saying I was accepted to play in beta but still unable to log in as launcg button is still greyed out dying to play this game
samr problem here,i received the email yesterday,and i can't log in now,i've tryed to clear the cookies ,but it doesn't work.
Just as a word of encouragement, after a while, this worked itself out and I was able to launch the game. I'd say 4-5 hours after receiving the first email.

Same deal here. Followed all the steps. I have even cleared my cookies and cache. Rebooted and still nothing. :(

I received the beta invite on Fri, Nov 12, 2010 at 11:31 AM. I logged in and attempted to launch the game, but the button is still grayed-out for me. I've logged out, cleared cookies, logged back in, cleared cache, the whole 9 yards. Nothing is working and I still can't launch the game.
Username is same as forum account name.

Just some information to clarify it all once again. The first mail you receive stating that "you have been chosen to apply for Basic Flight training" doesn't mean that you can start playing but only that you can complete an online survey that will eventually lead to your selection as a beta tester for the closed beta. After this first email you will receive a notification if and only if you will be selected. If you received this second email and your launch button is still grayed out then you just have to wait some time, AFAIK there have been some synchronization issues between the email and the account enabling.
Just as a note: all the information that I reported here are in the very same thread on which you are posting. Have you even tried reading some of the previous posts before shouting out your questions?

the fact is that two days ago,an admin said the problem was solved,today,it is not for me,so maybe it's good for them to know it nah?so they could check it again and see where is the problem.
Well I guess in a way I am one of the lucky ones. I recieved the email two dyas ago but was stuck working some huge overtime. I saw it( the email) just this morning . I logged in and I am activily playing the beta... Looking forward to assisting those guys in working out the bugs.

If they required at least 140 characters, and that your message is less than 140 characters, then there is no problem, and you might want to read the indications properly.

I wouldn't be too concerned. Some of us haven't gotten the e-mail either. As long as you have access to the launcher and beta forums, you're set.
