Browser frozen - refresh cleared freeze

Browser: Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.13

Lockup after selecting player appearance and choosing raptor. Tip screen –
“Tip: Get an overviewof the current situation from the commander of your fleet”
Activity indicator stopped at approximately the 5 o’clock position while saying “loading”.

Had to refresh and it took me to CIC

My browser is constantly freezing as well. Every single time I have changed screens I have had to refresh my browser to continue playing. It has also happened after spending experience points.

i found out that mine was doing that as well, and i was on IE 8, so downloaded Firefox, and no nore freezing, seems to be a prob with IE browers, (well it was with mine anyways)

Same here. Everytime I switch locations (screens) I lock-up and have to refresh.

I've also noticed that my screen locks up completely after closing the Settings window, even when no changes have been made to the settings.

I'm on Microsoft's DirectX page and I don't even see a place to download DirectX 11.
I thought DirectX 11 didn't work with older Windows OS?

I may be mistaken, but I believe you have to have Vista or Windows 7 plus a video card that will support it in order to use DirectX 11.

Nope. I do believe that is incorrect.

From Wikipedia: Direct3D 10 and Direct3D 11 are only available for Windows Vista (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Vista) and Windows 7 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_7) because each of these new versions were built to depend upon the new Windows Display Driver Model (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Display_Driver_Model) that was introduced for Windows Vista.

Wiki might not be the best source but I also can't find anything from Microsoft about it. I'm pretty sure it would be in my updates if I could get it.

Both video card and OS have to meet the requirements for DirectX 11 or it will not work. Any OS older than Vista cannot run version 11, but instead are capped at version 10.

Ok I am having continual browser crash too.
I also typed up along bug entry on it, but it didnt submit/got lost somehow.
SO Ill try a short one

Ok Tried Unity cache flush: Result = still crash on load screen (going from Dockbay w/ No8 to CIC, I was in dockingbay when I restsarted the game)

At this point I havent the heart or energy to continue trying to get the game to work.
This has been at least 2 inflight crashes, and 3 more crashes on changing areas (dock/launch)

I will probably try another day.

Attached is screenshot of complete broser freeze during flight. hard right side is what is left of the flight window after opening other windows. Middle screen in all dead screen from opening and closing another window.
F5 is the only thing that gets the game going again.

In flight crashes were occuring afer 10-30 mins. The only thing I was doing inflight was opening map and tutorial screens.
